Terrible service and strange practices prevail. If you have a mortgage they take a large amount of escrow, more than is needed for taxes, and later send you checks for the difference. In the meantime this probably adds up to additional hundreds of millions of dollars in cash. Want to use their Web site? You have to go through your carrier to verify you have a trusted phone number and wait 5 days to access the site to pay a bill or access basic documents. The alternative is to go to a bank branch where you wait at least an hour or more, and are ignored. I don’t expect white glove service but I don’t expect to be treated like a chump either.

They tried to foreclose on my home, didn't notify me they were and fed me slot of wrong information. I'm a disabled veteran and I almost lost everything because of them. Worst experience I've ever had with any company on the planet.

Why is Wells Fargo recording your call and giving it to your employer upon request?

My ex-husband defaulted on a business line of credit that I co-signed on. All account statements were went to him and his address. All notification letters were sent to him. All collection letters were sent to him. Then one day, Wells Fargo takes $6,500 from my personal checking account...out of the blue. I call crying as it was my rent money and only savings. They say they sent letters to an old address from 20 years ago as well as my ex's address. My ex also banks at Wells Fargo and has a two checking accounts that were active. It appears that I was "easy money" so they took it from my account. How is this even ethical with ZERO notifications to me personally? If any one knows the law on this that would be helpful.

I've been a wells fargo customer for well over 20 years now.
No longer appreciating how they do business.
Too many things to mention. But I will say that since they got rid of the classic bill pay, it's been a nightmare.
Seeking another bank for our business as well as personal!!!

Applied for a Wells Fargo Practice Acquisition Loan. Met with representative who then provided a list of information they would need. Provided the information. Then began a series of additional requests. They were met. More requests, increasingly unrelated to the practice being purchased or the financial status of the purchaser. After 2 months of meeting this unending series of new requests, we received a letter stating that the loan had been approved. We asked to schedule closing. Then began a new series of requests for more information. There has been no end to this totally disorganized, time consuming, endless application. And this is the outfit that will be dispersing the funds and trying to manage payments. They are disorganized, time wasters that will gladly bait you, even with approval letters, but not conduct business in a professional manner. Went to a regional bank where we have our business account and had an approval in one day. Do not be deceived by the perception that a large bank would surely have a competent and organized practice acquisition loan program. Do not waste your time.

They should be the subject of further investigation for misleading practices. 12yr old had $70 in savings from years of collecting coins. They were very quick to suggest opening a savings account for him (responsible learning behaviour right). What they didn't say was that even though there were attached parents accounts they would continue to deduct service charges from the kids account at the rate of $5 a month until they wiped out his entire savings. The only reason we knew was because when his savings account went into overdraft, they then hit an adjacent account for charges - not good enough to protect against charges, but definitely good enough to debit against when the kids account went overdrawn. unconscionable if not completely unethical behaviour. 20+yrs of loyalty for nothing. Worst thing that was ever allowed to happen was the take over of Wachovia - We didn't even chose Wells Fargo.
