Wells Fargo confiscated my ss check.
When I told the man at the bank in Malvern, PA that I was in the line at the grocery and could not make my purchase that Wells Fargo had taken my Social Security check he laughed, he thought it was very funny. I closed my account - they are absolutely horrible.

Obviously Wells Fargo is out to screw their customer on tight checking account with auto deductions. The post all transactions after midnight and always (obviously) post the debits first so as to make another $35.00 they add to their already profit for service charges only netted them an extra 2.5 mill last year.So if you happen to read this when deciding which bank to open an account with Wells Fargo should be off your list..And if you are considering a mortage with Well Fargo, save yourself the headaches and go to another bank.
Your local credit union would a good choice

Woo Hoo! Wells Fargo has 3,800 layoffs planned for 2013.

Yup, thats what jerk employees get to look forward to this year. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.

Just keep getting people to close their accounts, way to go Wells Fargo employees!

Now on a more serious note.

I've read about some Consumer Bureau to complain to. I think this should be explained, at least to what i think the person is talking about.

The Bureau of Consumer Protection is part of the Federal Trade Commission. and this is just one option to send a complaint to about Wells Fargo.

another is the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, which actually oversees National Banks.

and another option is to write to your State Representative. It might seem unlikely to get help. But remember these people are up for re-election every 2 yrs, and you'd be surprised how they can get things in motion. They may even contact the FTC and the OCC on your behalf.

Today I have spent no less than 3 hours talking to wells fargo about an overdraft service they recommended for my account, which obviously their representatives had no idea of how it actually worked. I was given improper advice as to how the service worked, what the cutoff times for deposits were, by 4 different representatives over a 4 day period, and ALL FOUR gave out improper information which lead to $75 in overdraft fees. When I confronted a so called "Supervisor" in their call center, she said that bad advisement from any of their representatives is not a basis for "bank error". When I asked her point blank if she was telling me that any time I call wells fargo, the information I get, rely upon, and act upon, may or may not be true, and regardless of how much money it costs me, they are not responsible for the actions, training, or information of their employees...she essentially said, "Refer to your bank user agreement for our policies." Wells fargo is the ultimate in outrageously bad customer service and a total lack of integrity with their customers. I am going to record conversations and post them on you tube from here on out to expose just how bad these people are.

Wells Fargo plays games with everyone. I have been paying down an interest free furniture purchase, on time and accelerated. I made the mistake of making two payments in a single period and did not note it. I got charged a late fee & interest because I paid early. They were unwilling to remove the fee/interest despite my being *far* ahead on payments. When the account is paid off, I will *never* use them again and will tell everyone who asks how awful they are.

After trying to close an account, they stated that due to "unseen" ACH transactions, the account could not be closed. "Put a stop payment on the account and this will stop". Not only did it not stop, but they assessed me another overdraft fee, which they refuse to refund. I am so over this -BADWORD-. What can I do?

Even though I still have a mortgage with Wells Fargo and brought documentation thereof, they were unable to cash a small check for me. Just plain lazy. Take my mortgage please. Time to look for another mortgage.

After reading many of the posts on this site and many other sites regarding Wells Fargo and their shady business practices,I, like many others, have had problems with Wells Fargo since they took over Wachovia. Every month my car payment comes out of my account (automatic draft)some months it will come out the day it is scheduled and other months it will take up to 10 business days after the scheduled date to post to my account. Well, after reading about other people having this same issue I went back and looked at some of my past statements, sure enough the months that it took up to 10 business days for the payment to post was when my balance was on the low side. They are like vultures just waiting to see if I would "slip up" and and let my account get just $1.00 overdrawn and then they would post the car payment that they obviously had been hanging onto for days, so they could slam me with overdraft fees. As of this week I will no longer be banking with them!!!
