I went in to my branch to enquire about an auto financing loan. A brochure or just their rates would have been ideal, but a "helpful" loan office approached and was willing to leech off my ball sacks so I obliged her. Instead of answering my questions she just started in with the cross examination. I should have just got up then and left because I was not going to get a loan. I realize they are required to ask certain personal questions, but I really would have left with a little respect if they had handled it much differently. This woman Katherine Upton was so inept she erased all my information and we had to do it again. It is like hillbillies in hell in this branch, they have no idea how invasive they are being with people's private information. As I am not currently working at a normal sort of job, I don't really want to go into details, but when you are dealing with people who work for a huge multimillion dollar Corporation based out of San Francisco, I don't really think you are going to be able to reason with them. So long story short I didn't qualify. That was it, no reason why, or what I can do, or any details whatsoever, like if I lowered the amount I wanted or anything. They got my personal information now. Heaven nows what they plan to do with it or if it was erased or what exactly or why this whole thing was even necessary, but I feel really invaded and exploited by these grease bags. Because of them I will never let myself be used by any potential borrower, they can play my game if they want my business. More than likely they are looking for easy money and potential victims as most corporations do. It is simply a cattle drive to them and you are their next slaughter.

WElls Fargo sucks big time and YOU are not a concern of theirs. I am told to send an item back and when Fargo does not get it and another company lies to keep a sale Fargo does nothing to get the item returned and still charges my account for a item purchased by deceptive advertising. This company does not care for its customers and will charge you for using the bathroom if they can get away with it. Take your money to a Credit union, banks are too big and will screw you and your kids over. Why is it schools do not teach about overdrafts or how banks work, the real way they work. I am heading to a Credit Union....RUN....
this bank cannot even keep employees, kind of a walmart of banking, yes you loose.

I tried to deposit a $25000 cashiers check from Citibank, as I have on multiple times before. This time the inept teller, who has accepted the deposits before, tells me that they will need to hold it for 10 days, are you f-ing kidding me????

I HATE this place. How am I to tell my employees they new to wait 10 days to cash their checks???

I opened a checking/savings account with Wells Fargo in September. Got a letter about being denied for a credit card (??). Went into the Ocean Park branch where I had created the account, and the representative told me the letter was "generic" and part of the normal credit check process. I didn't accept that and asked for a copy of the credit card application I had filled out. She called their credit department, they sent me the rejection letter AGAIN. The branch told me to call the credit department about it. I called, and their credit department told me to talk to the branch! The credit rep couldn't explain it, nor could she send me the application I had filed even though she could see it on her computer screen. Management apparently told the rep that I had to mail the corporate office to get an explanation. Instead of doing that, I've decided to ditch Wells Fargo. Phucking ridiculous.

The newest thing for Wells Fargo branches in SC seems to be refusing to accept deposits to a business account that are not explicitly written to the business. For example, I have a large volume of customers in my office. Most of them write checks directly to the business name. Ever so often someone will write it directly to me instead. All the checks are marked on the back with a restrictive endorsement and signed which should cover all of this. Apparently, this is not good enough.

Trying to have a conversation with the bank rep provide fruitless, and I could never get an answer as to why they could not take this check. Her answer.. deposit it to my personal account and transfer the funds. Absolutely nuts to me. Especially since they have been taking these deposits for the last several years without question.

My suggestion.. deposit them through the teller machine. So far, I've not had any problem doing just that...

I had an interview with wells Fargo 2 weeks ago and it was the worst experience I've ever had! I am completely qualified for the position and they knew it but I was treated horribly by the district manager named Dave. He asked me questions that are completely illegal when it comes to interviewing and talked to me like I was a complete -BADWORD-. During the interview I was threatened that if I quit before I had been there for a year then he would make SURE that I never got a job in Teton Valley again because it's a "small town" and he knows everyone! Excuse me, actually in Idaho it's at will employment. Then to finish it off after an hour of a torturous interviewing he left me in the office to sit there for 20 minutes waiting for an email address. To sum it up he ended up offering me the job and I declined because I would rather be broke than work for that guy! I will complain to corporate about this as well!

On 9/13/2012 I spent 4 hours at the Wells Fargo branch located at 10831 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond, VA 23235 and worked with a Personal Banker to take care of matters relating to the estate of my mother who passed away on 9/1/2012. I worked with the banker to open an estate checking account, transfer funds to this new account, and take care of putting notes on credit card & mortgage accounts that my mother was deceased. All was well until about early October when I received a vague note from Wells Fargo stating that certain information (never detailed) was unable to be verified and that I would need to visit a local branch or my account would be closed by 10/26/2012. A few days passed, and I received another note to the same regard. Several weeks ago (~the week of 10/19/2012) I visited the branch located at 12888 BROAD ST RD, Richmond, VA 23233 and spoke to the branch manager about the letters. He said the issue was related to my SSN being mistakenly entered as a 2nd form of identification for my account, so he validated my ID, updated my account and said the issue was resolved. The next day, I received another warning note to the same regard. Assuming it was mailed before I visited the branch, I disregarded it. After the warning date passed on the letter, I assumed all was cleared up, and considered the issue resolved. Today (11/16/2012), I received a note from Wells Fargo saying attempts to resolve the “missing information” (again, vague) issue were unsuccessful, so the account had been closed and a check was enclosed for the balance. I checked online, and the account, its history, bill payees, etc. was completely gone. Furious, I called the number on the letter, which was incorrect. After being transferred and speaking with a ‘customer service’ representative, I was told that I needed to visit the local branch because they had no information as to why this happened. When I asked to be transferred to a supervisor, I was told she was busy and I would have to leave a voicemail, which I elected not to do. Beyond this issue, since my visit to the branch on 9/13/2012, I have been inundated with calls and letters from every department within Wells Fargo (2 different mortgage departments, credit card, estate, banking) wanting me to fax/mail in the same paperwork pertaining to the estate, which I have followed through on. When I inquired why I had to keep sending this information in over and over again, I was told no systems are linked, as it was impossible to do so (false; I engineer IT systems; it’s not impossible). Furthermore, the lack of follow-through by the banker on 9/13/2012 to email me my mother’s previous account statements so I had them for my records and the fact that it took 2 weeks for a life insurance check to clear (took BoA a day), causing payments to be late, has caused me to completely despise Wells Fargo. It’s bad enough I am getting married tomorrow at 28 with no parents alive to be present, but the fact that Wells Fargo has managed to take the prize of being the most painful part of handling my mom’s affairs and causing me this grief the day before my wedding is despicable; especially when it’s not in any way the customers fault, who has done everything ‘right’ and responsibly. I had originally intended on 9/13/2012 to simply take a cashier’s check and open the estate account at my financial institution (BoA), however the banker and his manager convinced me Wells Fargo had much better service and that I should even move all of my accounts over to Wells Fargo, so I opened the estate account there. This was clearly a mistake, and since Wells Fargo has made it crystal clear my business isn’t wanted, I will now do what I originally intended and open an estate account at BoA and advise everyone I know of Wells Fargo’s insensitivity, incompetence, disorganization and complete disregard for customer service.

My experience with Wells Fargo is currently happening. 7 years ago we bought a car from a dealership and the loan was financed through Wells Fargo. My husband came home and it was brought to my attention we were preapproved for a lower interest rate with my bank. That day we went to the bank and transferred the loan. Fast forward to now, we just sold the car and when the buyer went into register the car, Wells Fargo still had a lien against the car. We call at the beginning of the week and they said they would send the release in 48 to 72 hours. My husband called today and they said it was going to be another 5 days. Now the guy who we sold the car to wants his money back. I looked online and this seems to be a problem with other people. Do banks benefit from keeping liens on cars?

my account balance was low...my direct deposit comes in like clockwork...suddenly after many years...it's late???? I seriously doubt it is. What I think is really going on is that WF wants to make some money on overdraft fees. They are so corrupt you can smell it in the air if you walk into the lobby.
