WF is ridiculous and they are thieves. I have been to a branch at least three times to change the terms and conditions of my savings and checking accounts. Then they send me a letter and change these terms again. Innovation theft is unparalleled.

They keep on finding lazy excuses to charge $15 on either account. They are thieves. Stay away from WF.

And the worst part is that this shows how desperate WF is and how much in need of capital they are. If I do anything with WF that would be to short their stock. Nothing else to do with them. Pathetic bankrupt bank.

stop complaining! all top banks in US charges same stuff whether its bank of america ,jp morgan, citibank. before opening an account, it is your responsibility as a consumer to read the contract you are signing! don't act surprised because it's your fault that the bank charges you with fees because of your carelessness. do your research before you open an account with any bank.

HELL'S FARGO HAS NEVER APPROVED ME FOR ANYTHING AND IVE BEEN THERE FOR YEARS.
THEY CHARGED ME FOR ATM PIN ENTERED DEBIT TRANSACTIONS THAT THEY RE PROCESSED OVER THE WEEKEND.THEY CHARGED ME FOR UP TO 5 OVERDRAFTS AT A TIME FOR PIN ENTERED TRANSACTIONS.THEY STOLE FROM ME AND OTHER LOYAL CUSTOMERS LIKE ME.

This is a complaint regarding two separate Wells Fargo groups:
The Online Services for Banking Customers; and the Wells Fargo Mortgage division.
1) If I transfer funds (for an example) before noon on the 18OCT'12; the transfer function of the online transfer algorithm will NOT allow a selected date BEFORE 19OCT'12. This occurs
a) even if the funds have been sitting there for years, b) The transfer is from Wells Fargo Banking TO Wells Fargo Mortgage.
b) Wells Fargo Mortgage is closed on Saturdays, and they close their books before the previous Friday noon, so therefore a payment made online on a Thursday 18OCT'12, has no chance of being seen at Wells Fargo Mortgage until Monday, 22OCT'12.

2)Wells Fargo Mortgage policy states an avowed practice of “contacting customers early and often” regarding delinquent payments. Yet they DO NOT make any attempt to contact customers (by email, or automated phone) until AFTER they have attached a penalty fee (typically $79.- late fee for a $100k debt).
Comment:
Wells Fargo takes FAR too long to transfer funds within it's own organization, thus creating a 'late fee' situation for funds that were transferred within the alloted window; conceivably within 4-days of the window closing, and their 'notice' is e-mailed 4-days after the penalty fee is assessed. The origin of this is at both the On-line/Bank level, and again within the Mortgage arm of their firm.
WHY does their on-line accounts force a 1-day delay regarding transfer-of-funds WITHIN Wells Fargo itself (a very recent change) ?

The Wells Fargo Complaint Department has NO on-line contacts, nor do they allow any phone contact with the Complaint department, other than faxing or mailing a written complaint such as this one. (Since such complaints require a printer, or fax machine, or postage stamp by complaining customers, it is far easier to file a complaint with the Feds -that somehow DO facilitate on-line complaints.
3) The Wells Fargo Mortgage division DOES offer easy refinancing services; thus if you are carrying a 5% loan (as I am), they can cut it down to a 3.2% interest loan... (a monthly savings of $645.00 on a $100k loan!) BUT if you are 'between jobs', and really COULD USE a refinance, then their offer is withdrawn. No proof of employment means NO chance of refinancing. -Period. How 'helpful' is that? If you're not 'underwater', they won't 'help' (possibly) - until you are.

They told me that if I made a deposit within 24 hours that I would not be charged a fee. A deposit was made at midnight, and this morning when I look at my account I was charged 3 overdraft fees. Their customer service rep was an inept and rude. I hate wells fargo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!

Wells Fargo is just a bunch of robbers, period. They secretly charged my small checking account (used to be free) monthly charges without sending me notice.
And I was told they will continue to do so until the account is negative and then they will close it. Sucks. Dont do any business with them. !!!

Wells Fargo is the worst bank in existence I opened an account in July requested A debit card Received debit card in October Wow went to activate today find out its another debit card different then the one I have in my hand listed in my online account. There service people were nasty, And did not seem to understand Good customer service . There reply was we will send you another one in seven days , Get another temporary card. Smells of some kind of fraud.

I had Wachovia for 12+ years.

Issues:

1. In October of 2010 I separated from my ex-wife and before the divorce in October of 2011, we went to Wachovia together and removed her from the joint checking account and savings account. (Incidentally we also did this with Bank of America with NO ISSUES) I watched the accounts at both banks for 3 months to ensure there were no weird charges, and then I started using my Wachovia and BofA accounts again. After one month of using the Wachovia account I noticed money kept disappearing from the Way2Save account, come to find out the x-wife still had access and thought it was hers and was pulling money from it. They didn't remove her from the Way2Save account and tied it to her new personal checking account so when she would login she would see both accounts and thought it was her own Way2Save account when in fact they didn't set her one up and she had not been automatically saving. So they had me close that Way2Save and open a new one.

2. In March of 2012 after Wachovia became Wells Fargo I saw a charge with my x-wife's name on it from an online bill pay to the Energy Company come out of my checking account. This time the issue was she had paid her bill with the utility companies online bill pay site and they had my routing and checking account info on file from the last time she paid it this way rather than through her Wells Fargo Online Bill pay. So the utility company pulled the money from my account using HER NAME? Wells Fargo then had me close that checking account and open a new one to stop this from happening. HOWEVER after they moved my money to the new account, they gave me NO CHECKS and I had no Online Bill Pay for 10 days. So I couldn't pay my mortgage which was with Wells Fargo.

3. I noticed in late May Wells Fargo reversed all my mortgage payments from Jan 2012 through May 2012 and showed I owed over 12k in back mortgage payments. I called and was told that since I was in bankruptcy they couldn't talk to me. I explained the house mortgage was not part of the bankruptcy and had always been paid on time EXCEPT for March 2012 because of their screw up (see issue #2). I had to call my lawyer who sent them a letter and they finally halfway corrected the issue in early June, but they still say I owe them nearly $2k in late fees? My lawyer is still working on this one.

4. Wells Fargo also said that since I am in bankruptcy (my mortgage is NOT part of the bankruptcy I have that from the court) that I could no longer use the online bill pay to pay my home mortgage. I said that makes a lot of sense since my checking account, savings account, and mortgage are all with the Wells Fargo. They said I have to pay the mortgage with a casher’s check which is $15 at Wells Fargo, by phone and they can transfer the funds that way which is a $20 service fee, or I can pay with a check from a different bank.

5. In late June (strangely after my lawyer reamed them), my ATM card was used for some fraudulent online purchases. I noticed them the day they happened and notified Wells Fargo. For the next several hours I saw more and more fraudulent charges appear online, so I went and withdrew what was left of my money and moved it to PNC. (MUCH BETTER BANK) As of today Wells Fargo still has not resolved this issue correctly. In fact they have been charging me service fees of $15 for my checking account in August and September for some unknown reason and $3 in my Way2Save account. No clue why they have been doing this. I still have the accounts open and it is a free account through my work with NO RESTRICTIONS. I had a balance of $250+ in the account and had been still directly depositing $15 a pay period into the checking account, but HAD NOT BEEN using the account as I am now primary banking with PNC. Per my records Wells Fargo has effectively stolen over $150 from me in service fees, overdraft, and credit reversals stemming from the fraudulent charges in late June.

So as of tomorrow I am going to go close my accounts completely with Wells Fargo.

I was offered a pre-approved refi for my home in July. It is now October and we are still going back and forth with documents. The loan officers are clearly inept and not able to communicate coherently with their underwriters. I own the home - the title/deed is in my name - period. The original loan was sold to WF and I am the ONLY person who was EVER named on the loan and it has been paid on time for 10 years. My ex wife signed a document clearly indicating she has no claim on the property that was notarized and submitted on time. Now they want me to sign a letter indicating my ex spouse is being removed from the loan and title/deed. No can do since she was NEVER on either one. They are clueless. Neil H.
