How convenient that when you have "pending charges" that are already taken out of your account, and something else goes through first, you get overdrafts for EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE PENDING CHARGES!!!! What -BADWORD-. Also, having to pay $12.50 if THEY have to take the money out of your savings to cover something out of checking? Yeah, I call BS. |

This is the second day in a row I don't have online access to my bank account because of the massive cyber attacks; the same cyber attacks that Chase and US Bank seem to be able to mitigate within 24 hours. This is the last straw. I'm moving my money out of Wells Fargo for good! |

I went to close my account yesterday - I opened an account with a credit union (Velocity CU), and gave the WFGO account a month to wind down. Decided to close the account for good yesterday, deposited a check to cover a pending debit charge, pulled out the remaining $2.90 in the account. I left the bank with a zero balance, but they couldn't close out the account until after the day's activity had been reconciled. Fine, not a problem. Called today to close, was told I had a -$140.00 balance - 4 overdraft charges. They even charged me an overdraft on the $2.90 they told me was my remaining balance yesterday. No additional transactions came through yesterday, only the overdrafts, and then overdrafts on overdrafts.
No one in the bank yesterday was aware of the pending fees. I called and was given an excuse. I'm sick of hearing "it's the computer, I can't change it." or "It's the policy, I can't fix it".

Wells Fargo (and Wachovia) have a policy to arrange overdrafts from largest to smallest, to maximize the number of transactions they can count as 'overdraft'.
I was even charged a Quicken fee for several months, and I don't use Quicken.
This "going away present" from Wells Fargo is a slap in the face after 2 decades of being their customer. |

WELL WERE DO I START.... WENT TO GET A HOME MORTGAGE LOAN FOR A FIRST TIME BUYER, THE LADY GAVE ME A PER APPROVEL LETTER..AND STATED ITS NO PROBLEM GETTING YOU APPROVED JUST A WALK IN THE PARK, SO I DID ALL MY PAPER WORK AND FAXED IT OVER TO THEM... I THEN ON 8/28/12 THE LADYS HELPER CALLED ME BACK AND STATED THAT I DIDNT FILL IN MY CC # AND I THEN ASKED THIS LADY WHY DO YOU NEED IT AND SHE SAID PLEASE HOLD.. WELL GUESS WHAT SHE DID NOT PUT ME ON HOLD.. SHE STATED HOLY F***EN SH**, HOLY f***EN SH**, I HAVE TO CALM DOWN BEFORE I GET BACK ON THE PHONE AND TALK TO THIS GIRL (WHICH IS ME) LIKE SHE HAS A F***EN BRAIN.... I HAVE TO SAY I FLIPPED OUT AND ALLS THE LADY DID WAS IM SO SORRY IM SO SORRY... SO I CAMPLAINED TO THE HEAD MANAGER AND CAN YOU BELIEVE AS OF THIS DATE SHE IS STILL WORKING FOR WF.... I was going away and decided to pay my home equity line of credit early so I didn't have to worry about it while I was away. The following month I paid my bill on the 20th when due and found out that because I paid my equity line of credit early the month before, there were more than 40 days inbetween payments so they penalized me and put my whole payment towards interest. I was so disgusted when I found out. I couldn't understand why I would be penalized for payment my bill early and then the following month paying on time. Imagine getting penalized for paying your bill EARLY - NEVER AGAIN!! |

I can't believe that Wells Fargo bank wanted me to go inside and give them a finger print along with multiple IDs to cash a $93 check!!! I was upset and gave them a little piece of my mind (no funnies now) and they ended up cashing it anyway. What kind of service is this? I guess it's good if you have been in the pokey before! They'll never get my business. |

I have small business next to Wells Fargo bank and took a customers check to bank to cash. Charged me a fee of $7.50
to cash a Wells Fargo personal check because I did not have an account there. Good reason not to do business with them. Tried to complain but no manager present and was told they can't waive fee anyway!!! Tried calling or emailing bank but could not find any way to do it on line or by phone, no complaint department????
Will never recomend this bank ever.

I am a former employee and am disgusted with how WF performs it business. They put sales over service and have little to no regard over anything other than seeing how many checking accounts can be opened. They call them "solutions" but its unnecessary sales that often results in fees, too much mail, and irate customers who where talked into something they neither wanted nor needed.
Bankers lose sales credit if an account is closed within 30 days of opening a new account. I have audio recording of my manager advising me to leave accounts open and advise customers that their old accounts will close out after 30 days and to lie to a teen to open a new account. This is not RIGHT!!! They lie to teens and adults advising they cannot convert accounts and must open new ones to get sales credit!
The only way to meet their lofty sales goals is to rely on friends and family and lie/game to existing customers to open additional accounts. This is not right and I am ashamed of my time working for this horrific excuse for a Bank that provides "Outstanding" customer service. ITS A JOKE, CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNTS AND GO ELSEWHERE. |
