Wells Fargo to pay $110 million to settle lawsuit

Wells Fargo & Co said it agreed in principle to pay $110 million to settle a lawsuit by customers challenging its opening of accounts without their permission, a practice that led to a scandal that cost the bank's chief executive his job. The bank said on Tuesday it expects the settlement to resolve claims in 11 other pending class actions, and will cover claims between Jan. 1, 2009, through the date the agreement is executed.

When you close your WF accounts, you will be dealing with low level functionaries- roughly the equivalent of a cashier at a fast food place. They have no power to alter your bad experience. What they do ask is why you are closing the account. If you succumb to temptation and tell them, the info will flow up and changes that benefit WF may actually be made. Be gracious and tell them something easy- I.E.- last night's tarot card reading indicates this step or the Ouija board said to do it. Doing something like this denies WF the ability to make changes and accelerates their decline as they make the same errors over and over. More people are irritated and leave and they make the same mistakes again causing the same results. Etc.

We have been Wells Fargo customers for over 15 years, and now that I have retired I decided to quit paying WF Advisors over $5,800/yr for "Management Fees" for getting really poor results. They charged me $125 "termination" fee because I decided to move my money elsewhere. $125 per account so it cost me $500 to close my accounts!! I am waiting for WF to respond to my request to waive those fees. It has been more than a month since I asked them!

Horrible, Wells Fargo Mortgage suggested all their crony friends to use when I was trying to buy a house. The lawyer they suggested sucked, and only suggested "friends" to do the surveying. Luckily the deal fell through, and I could have been stuck dealing with these butholes. This company should close its doors because it is pure -BADWORD-
